The local authority has temporarily closed Mount Tangkuban Parahu, a popular tourist destination in Bandung regency, West Java, following increased minor phreatic eruptions on Saturday.

The Geological Disaster Mitigation and Volcanology Center (PVMBG) at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry has called on residents and visitors to not come within a 1.5 kilometer radius of the craters, especially its Ratu crater. The PVMBG has also raised the mountain’s status from “normal” to “caution”.

“We advise people to not visit the craters at Mt. Tangkuban Parahu. People, however, are still allowed to visit [nearby tourist spots] Maribaya or Ciater hot springs complex,” PVMBG head M. Hendrasto said as quoted by Tempo.co in Bandung on Saturday.

He said that his team had detected a minor eruption in the Ratu crater at around 6:21 a.m., adding that further eruptions might possibly occur. He also reminded the public of the potential discharge of toxic gas from the mountain.

After the eruption, Hendrasto went on, Ratu crater had emitted thick white gas clouds about 300 meters into the sky. He said that his office also detected increasing seismic activities during that hour. After the findings, officers at the
Tangkuban Parahu monitoring post immediately forbade people from venturing in the area around the crater.

The eruption occurred at the same spot where the 2,076-meter high mountain erupted in February.

Earlier in February, Mt. Tangkuban Parahu was also closed to the public after it spewed volcanic ash from its Ratu crater.

“If the situation worsens, we will take further steps,” Gede Swandika, a monitoring officer at the PVMBG, said as quoted by Tribunnews.com.

The crater’s volcanic activity, Swandika said, had left 5 to 10 millimeters of volcanic ash around the crater.

Meanwhile, Subang regency administration secretary Abdurakhman has called on nearby residents to remain alert. “Don’t panic,” Abdurakhman said, adding that he had instructed all district and subdistrict heads around Mt. Tangkuban Parahu to inform residents about the increasing volcanic activity.

Asep Setia Permana, a Ciater village resident, said that he had gotten used to hearing news on eruptions. “It has happened several times so we remain calm, but we are staying alert,” said Asep.

Pantai Ujung genteng ini letaknya di daerah pantai selatan jawa barat, yang terletak 230 km dari Jakarta. Dapat ditempuh selama kurang lebih 7 jam dengan kendaraan . Dan rRute yang harus ditempuh adalah Jakarta – Bogor – pelabuhan ratu – Jampang kulon – Surade – Ujung genteng.

Apa saja sih keindahan yang ditawarkan pantai ujung genteng ini ?

Pantai ujung genteng sendiri memang sangat indah, pemandangan sunset yg indah, langit biru dan air  yg jernih merupakan suatu keunggulan yang benar-benar indah , namun jangan membandingkan pantai ujung genteng dengan pantai pangadaran atau anyer karena hasilnya akan sangat2 berbeda. Pantai ujung genteng memang cukup landai, dan airnya sangat jernih, namun pantai ini banyak terdapat batu karang, sehingga tidak dapat dipakai untuk berenang. Airnya pun dangkal yang hanya sampai paha atau betis orang dewasa . Udara di pantai ini pun tidak seperti pantai kebanyakan yang ada di tempat wisata lainnya yang ada di Indonesia, karena pantai ujung genteng ini memiliki udara yang sejuk . Hal ini, dikarenakan letak oantai yang berdekatan dengan gunung .

Salah satu pesona nya adalah pantai pagumbuhan dimana kita dapat melihat penyu bertelor. Pantai dengan pasir yang lembut dan gembur ini merupakan tempat favorit bagi para penyu untuk bertelor. Hampir setiap hari ada penyu yang mampir kepantai ini. Bahkan ketika musim bertelor tiba (bulan Agustus) penyu yang menggunjungi pantai ini dapat mencapai 20 ekor. Penyu yang bertelor disini cukup besar, dan umurnya berkisar 100 tahunan. Luar biasa sekali mengingat penyu ini telah hidup 1 abad, mungkin ketika jaman nya kakek kita masi muda penyu ini sudah hidup di dunia ini. Wow..

Daya tarik lain nya di sekitar daerah ujung genteng adalah curug (air terjun)
Curug cikaso , disini terdapat 3 air terjun, untuk mencapainya kita perlu naik perahu sekitar 3 menitan. Atau berjalan kaki sebentar. Pemanndangan yang sangat indah dapat kita temukan, sekali memandang 3 air terjun kita nikmati. sungguh luar biasa.

Ujung Genteng seperti banyak orang bilang adalah hidden paradise, mengapa? karena selain letaknya di ujung, terpencil, anda tidak akan percaya bahwa ternyata ada pantai dengan pasir putih yang benar-benar cantik. yaitu di cipanarikan, tidak kalah cantik dengan pantai di bali kok !

The capital city of Jakarta is always identical with public transportation. Every corner of Jakarta we always meet public transportation or people Indonesia used to call "angkot". Of course, the existence of public transportation easier for us to access the streets of the capital. Because of the large people needs of public transportation, is also increased by the number of public transportation. This is caused by growth factors  rapidly growing Indonesian society, which resulted in the Indonesian economy. Which in the end produce a lot of unemployed who choose to work as a driver of public transportation.

First of all, because of the increase in unemployment caused by school dropouts. Then their knowledge of traffic rules and tolerance for others very little. And this leads them to selfish behavior of public transportation drivers in the streets. This behavior is certainly very disturbing other riders and passengers of public transportation itself.

Selfish behavior of public transportation drivers often we meet like stop in the middle of the road when up and drop off passengers. And not a few things that cause traffic jams on the road. This behavior is harmful road users, wasting energy and time. Usually the passengers also complained of this behavior. They feel the time is wasted because the road transport often stopped the street many times.  over the years, many reasons the public transportation drivers describe. We often find passangers standing in the bus until the passangers are hanging on the door of the bus or public trasportation . this should not happen becauseut can cause accident and may be andanger the passangers .

The third is about the amount of public transportation drivers in Jakarta who are under the age of about 15-17 years. This certainly is the pity because they are supposed to be studying in school. But because of economic trouble they had to work. they usually come from outside of Jakarta. because they are not old enough so they do not have a driver's license.

the fourth is a common crime committed by public transport drivers, such as transport drivers who work with picpokets and rape. A lot of picpoketing in the public transportation occurs these days, and not a few who experience it . picpoketing mode usually by pretending to vomit by three people or hypnotic . These crimes are often experienced by woman, because women are concidered weak.

And another problem are rape. This crime occured one student of university in jakarta. The crime of rape is not only a transportationn but also a murder commited transport drivers. So many rape that occured in recent years. Because of this problem the government is issued a policy for all public transportation drivers in jakarta to wear a uniform and badge.

And the fifth is the reason of Jakarta citizens who prefer for use the motor vehicle or personal vehicle rather than public transportation. Myself for example, I personally prefer driving a motor vehicle. The first reason is, if you use public transportation sometimes time runs out on the road because of frequent stops and public transportation is too long to wait for other passengers, the second is cost incurred for using public transportation is much more expensive than used motorcycles, the third are quickly arrive at the destination, the fourth is stay away from crime that often occurs in public transpor

The conclusion is we must find a solution that should do the police in dealing with public transportation drivers in Jakarta is very disturbing. The solution is, call the owner of public transportation to find out who the driver is driving a car. This should be done so that there are no drivers who are underage  who ride public transportation and implementing regulations for public transportation drivers to have a  driver's license. Then for the Jakarta government should provide stops at many places. That  public transportation can be stopped every ten minutes at the bus stop or in the proper place. It would be better if public transportation vehicles in Jakarta  can be like another country.

And to prevent crime in public transportation, residents should be more careful in dress,wearing jewelry and bring more money. Because if you take things too much, then wewill become the target of criminals. preventing always the best solution .
